How much does it cost to replace a sewer line in New Jersey?
It depends on length, depth, access, and whether the run crosses a road or driveway. A short residential lateral is a very different job from a long run that needs a permitted street opening. We quote in writing after seeing the site, and we tell you up front what could change the number — rock, unmarked utilities, or a deeper connection than expected.
Do I need a permit to open the road for a utility connection?
Yes. Road openings in the public right-of-way require a permit from the municipality or county that owns the road, and restoration has to meet their specification. We handle the permit and the restoration as part of the job.
How long does a water service replacement take?
Most residential water service replacements are a one-day job once the permit and markout are done. Longer runs, road crossings, or difficult access can push it to two days. The markout itself has a required waiting period, so the schedule usually depends more on that than on the digging.
Do you work as a subcontractor for plumbers and general contractors?
Regularly — about half our work comes from the trade. We handle the excavation, trenching, and restoration so your crew can do the connection. Your customer stays your customer.
Do you handle emergency water and sewer repairs?
Yes. Broken services and failed laterals don't wait for business hours. Call and we'll give you a straight answer on when we can be there rather than a vague promise.
Will my yard be destroyed?
Trenching disturbs ground — there's no way around that. What we control is how it's put back: proper backfill and compaction, and the surface restored rather than left as a scar across the lawn.
